Preparatory Courses Before the Recognition Exam

The Institute for Postgraduate Medical Education (IPVZ) regularly organizes preparatory courses for foreign healthcare professionals preparing for the recognition (approbation) exams.
Courses are held twice a year and focus on topics needed for both the written and oral parts of the exam.

Why participate?

Graduates of these courses have up to 50% higher success rates in individual parts of the exam. Courses are taught by experienced instructors and cover key professional topics that frequently appear in the tests.

Free Participation and Financial Support Options

Under the project “Language and Professional Preparation of Foreign Healthcare Workers 2”, participants may:

• attend the preparatory courses completely free of charge,

• receive up to 50,000 CZK in financial support for the practical part of the exam,

• and have the registration fee for the first exam attempt covered.

Important Information

• Classes are conducted in Czech – at least basic Czech knowledge is required

• Interpreters are not provided

• The course fee must be paid in advance – either by bank transfer or in cash at the ILF Hotel cashier

• Payment instructions will be sent in your invitation after registration

• You can register directly via the IPVZ client system

Pre-Approbation Professional E-Courses

As part of the project “Language and Professional Training for Healthcare Professionals from Abroad 2”, we are launching new supplementary e-learning courses that expand our existing offer of preparatory courses for the approbation examination and Czech language courses.

A total of 5 e-learning courses are available:

• 🔗 Professional e-learning course for physicians

• 🔗 Professional e-learning course for pharmacists

• 🔗 Professional e-learning course for dentists

• 🔗 Healthcare System and Basics of Legislation – a course intended for physicians, dentists and pharmacists as preparation for the written part of the approbation examination

• 🔗 Czech language course – from level A1 to B2

The professional e-learning courses include selected topics from the fields that are part of the approbation examination. The courses focus primarily on the knowledge required for the examination and serve as additional support during preparation.

The Czech language course is divided into individual lessons. Each lesson first includes a theoretical explanation of the given topic, followed by practical exercises and tests to check the acquired knowledge.

Online courses are intended as a supplement for better and more comprehensive preparation and to expand the available information and study materials.

Participation in the e-learning courses is free of charge within the project. The condition for participation is a diploma in medicine, dentistry or pharmacy from a country outside the EU.

Registration takes place as usual through the IPVZ Client Portal.

After registration, the course coordinator will contact you, provide information about the next steps and ask you to submit the necessary supporting documents for enrolment in the course.
