As of January 1, 2026, the amendment to Decree No. 117\/2018 Sb. has come into effect, introducing several significant changes to the organization and structure of the licensing (approbation) examination.<\/h6>\n
\n
1. Changes in the written part of the licensing examination<\/strong><\/h5>\n
New passing threshold<\/h6>\n
To successfully complete the written test, candidates must now answer at least 60%<\/strong> of the questions correctly.
\n(Previously, the minimum requirement was 70%.)<\/h6>\n
Adjustment to the test on the healthcare system and basics of law<\/h6>\n
The test focusing on the Czech healthcare system and legal framework of healthcare services now includes:<\/h6>\n
    \n
  • \n
    15<\/strong> questions (previously 50),<\/h6>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n
    test duration is 20<\/strong> minutes.<\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    This change applies only to this specific test.
    \n\u27a1 The professional knowledge test remains unchanged \u2014 its structure and duration stay the same.<\/h6>\n
    2. Changes in the oral part of the examination<\/strong><\/h5>\n
    The amendment expands the group of persons allowed to be present during the oral part of the examination. The following may now be present:<\/h6>\n

    • \n
      doctors, dentists or pharmacists who provide direct professional supervision of the candidate during their practical training,<\/h6>\n
      or<\/h6>\n<\/li>\n
    • \n
      doctors, dentists or pharmacists who hold a managerial position at a healthcare provider.<\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      3. Organizational changes<\/strong><\/h5>\n
      All administrative tasks related to processing and sending invitations to the licensing examination are now handled by IPVZ.<\/strong><\/h6>\n
      4. Validity of previously obtained results<\/strong><\/h5>\n
      Results marked as \u201cpassed\u201d \/ \u201cfailed,\u201d received by candidates before the amendment took effect, remain fully valid.<\/h6>\n
